Despite his appearance, Tei is not really a gentleman by any standards, though he can act like one; rather Tei was a former daredevil and a troublemaker; he’s practically not afraid of challenges due to these former traits and sees obstacles in life as challenges. He likes to win. Tei is very emotionally driven to win. Of course, because he enjoys the thrill of overcoming challenges, he earns them through hard work and dedication.
Not much of a thinker, he has the tendency to charge into battle without a plan and just use his sheer strength, drive, and motivation to keep him going. Although he seems like a idiot who only is motivated by his goals and expectations of himself, he actually very compassionate, willing to protect those he loves despite being so wild.

On the surface he’s seen to have a cool aloof personality, but once you get to know him, he’s pretty social but extremely complex in nature, as his choices and actions doesn't necessary reflect his true feelings or inner thoughts. Tei’s friendly and easygoing, the kind of guy who likes to joke around with others, occasionally serious depending on the circumstances. He sees most people as his friends unless there’s a good reason to dislike/hate others.

Tei is someone who stays true to his words. He’s not someone who would take back his words, but he does occasionally tell some white lies or jokes in a jousting, playful manner, showing off his playful side. After all he is sort of a troublemaker. This side of him is just how he shows how he cares about others, as important friends, though this mischievous manner has gotten him into trouble, he kind of enjoys doing so. He’s someone who tends to trust people although they may have many negative aspects to their personality, he tries to see them in a good light; however he does have a difficulty compromising his beliefs and way of thinking with others, as he can be stubborn in those regards. Although Tei seems very extroverted and cool, he’s more of an outgoing introvert; he can socialize with others very well however he’s inconsistent when conversing with others and gets burned out while socializing and needs downtime by himself to recharge. Though he thinks most of the people he meets are his friends, he treats his close friends and family on a different level of intimacy; he shows a slight obsessive nature of affection towards to his close friends and his family, though it seems to all of his friends, he seems to treat them especially well.

Although Khadroman’s dislike humans, Tei doesn’t really dislike them or such, having not much personal opinion about them.
Seeing the Knighthood as a place for him to show his worth by rising in the ranks rather than as a honorary member who serves the Khadroma Empire, Tei is someone who joined the ranks to pursue his ideals of survival of the fittest and achievement through effort rather than as someone who would give up his life for Khadroma. However Tei is willing to sacrifice his life for the ones he loves and treasures, Tei has a sort of noble heart who is willing to protect others.

Biography/History:

Tei was born in a family with generations of Knights; however, his mother and father were mostly uninvolved with his life – they always served in the army and could not spare much family time, because serving the Khadroma Knighthood basically consumed their life. Tei and his younger sister lived with their grandparents who were retired knights, who fished for a living near the outskirts of Khadroman Empire. His grandparents were probably the sole parental figure in his and his sister’s life and contributed to most of their ideals and morals instilled in them. Because of his grandparents, he not only became a man that was good with catching fish and climbing rocks. Rather than serving the Khadroman Empire, Tei was more interested in enjoying life than doing anything else. He wasn’t interested much in the wealth that Khadroman's had to offer, or wasn’t interested in being part of the knighthood, until he found out how desperate and powerless he was. Sure he had lots of strength, but he wasn’t sure if it was enough to protect those he cared deeply for and to be able keep them safe from harm.

At a young age, Tei fell in love with his childhood friend, who idealized the ways of the knighthood and had an extremely different demeanor compared to other girls; however she lost too much because of her prestigious family’s so-called greed and negative aspects of power. Due to this tragedy, the girl he loved had to move away far away from the people who scorned her family. He wondered why she admired the Knighthood so much, “What was so great about being a Knight?” He saw the Knighthood as considerably strict occupation that wasted much of his time. Also he always wondered why she didn’t leave her family behind and lived for herself, but the reason was apparent; it was because she was always someone who lived for others – her life had to fulfill her obligations to her family. She was different from him; Tei never lived for anyone else other than himself, but decided to change – he decided to live his life for others; he decided to become a knight to set the girl he love free from the chains of her family and her supposed obligations.

He asked his grandparents to finally teach him the ways of becoming a knight, after so much previous rebellion of not wanting to learn in the first place. Tei soon learned how to fight with swords, spears, and other weapons through vigorous training that was forced upon him by his grandfather, and he found the sort of joy of learning how to fight because it was sort of challenging. Although his grandfather easily taught Tei how to fight, his grandmother had difficulties teaching Tei how to learn magic; Tei disliked reading and thought it was very boring to do, so most of the spell he learned, he didn’t care to remember, thinking it was so simple to learn but almost useless to him, especially since he wasn’t that good with magic casting; it was a hassle to learn and actually conjure something useful.

After several years of training, Tei joined the Knighthood. It is probably a proud, exciting moment for his family, overjoyed that Tei could continue the Knight legacy their family worked so hard to maintain and keep. However Tei never saw himself as someone fulfilling his obligations for his family, rather for himself. Belonging to the Knighthood to him was one step closer on improving himself to protect the ones he loves. He was quite surprised though at how studious and strong the Knighthood really was, and if he rose in rankings as a Knight, he would rapidly improve and stand a better chance against any foe, he may face.

Instead of trying to join the SWAN division of knights – since he lacked elegance or anything pertaining to manners, he joined the fearsome Dragon Knights soon after he joined the knighthood, proving his abilities in battle. The DK’s was known as one of the largest and stronger divisions of the knighthood with immersive power and sheer strength that fought together to destroy the Pandemonian Army; however the DK’s unsophisticated sense of fighting was looked down upon by King Gabriel, and thus after countless of victories in battles against the Pandemonians, the Dragon Knights dwindled during the periods where there was lack of war, only maintaining their abilities of upholding justice, loyalty, honor, and righteousness and guarding the Khadroman Empire during time of peace. It wasn’t until lately though, the DK’s have been promptly recruiting a large number of knights in sort of preparation of another large-scale war. Tei abruptly joined the division after being recruited by one of the leaders of division, only to face a large amount of strictness and perseverance in the way the DK’s worked to rapidly improve the strength of their members.

However after joining the knighthood, he unseemingly followed his parent's footprints in becoming a knight - although he did not want to become like them but rather someone better, but instead of finding good reasons in becoming a knight to serve Khadroma, he only stumbles onto more reasons why he never wanted to serve his homeland in the first place.

Battling Style: Brawn over Brain/Offensive Meat Tank

Tei lacks mostly speed and magic, so all he can do is attack and defend. He has an aggressive battle style, always charging –even if he’s able to do so, he’s slow, so he doesn’t do this that often - into battle and uses his overwhelming strength to defeat his enemies. However when necessary, he’ll use his strength to protect his allies.

Thanks to his fishing skills, he’s also able to throw his weapon from far distances like a hunter, attacking his prey when they’re not looking – he has pretty good aim and pretty good vision. Although he’s very athletic and can climb or fly just about anywhere, he’s not much of a sneaky person which doesn’t give him that element of surprise when attacking others, which is why he dislikes sniping monsters and individuals (He thinks it’s no fun hiding and attacking in the shadows – it’s more manly to fight and charge…yeah...though he can’t be swift in attacking at all.)

Tei could probable lead and command a legion; however he only has charisma to do so, lacking in intuition to properly lead anyone. He doesn’t have much wit or strategic skills, so Tei tends to just follow what other people order, though he can be stubborn to follow orders, or just go follow his instincts, since relying on him isn’t so great unless you just need his power and strength. Who needs strategies? Just hit their heads and charge through.

It doesn't matter if he's fighting one-on-one, or he has fight multiple enemies at once, Tei is someone who uses his all of his hardwork and effort to cut down his enemies despite the odds against him. He’s someone who probably won’t run away from any fight, unless someone persuades him to do so, thinking running away is cowardly and unmanly. Tei believes that he should at least die trying to fight them, rather than run away waiting for a future opportunity, because one may never have a chance to cut them down in the future.

Has this whole story of my process of drawing this app, but it’s probably too long, but basically, I originally wanted to draw like a mermaid – but felt that it would be too monster-like so scrapped that and came up with this.
